Would any of you recognise a philosophical issue if it came up and bit you on the nose?

I'm getting very frustrated with this section. Whereas there is some confusion in other sections, for instance between astrology and astronomy, and bickering in others, such as politics and R&S, this category just seems appalling to me. I worry that i'm being arrogant and elitist about this, and perhaps blinkered, but this place just makes me shake my head in despair. Is that just my arrogance and closed-mindedness, or does it reflect a broader problem with philosophy?
