Blown laptop speakers?

It would be the sound card not the speakers try the newest drivers that realtek have got out and if that doesn't work try volume control and turn the mic to mute if you cant see mic any ware in volume control go options then select mic and mute it. in vista right click the windows volume icon on the taskbar select recording devices click mic go properties disable it, apply everything and you fixed.
