Was this mean of me?

Yesterday I was on Craig's List Rant or Raves. I posted a reply to this dad who thinks everyone is to blame for his son knocking up his girlfriend except the dad himself. (The son is 14). So I spouted off like I usually do and tell him in a nutshell that he's a much to blame for what happened as the other mothers involved and the 14 year olds having . Then I had this other guy email me from his work account not liking my rant in Craigs List's rants or raves. He more or less told me he wished that I would have been a victim of a school shooting when I was in school. So, using the domain name from his email, I found out who his employer was and sent them a copy of what he sent me. Should I maybe not have done that???
